Understanding your vehicle’s differential performance

The task of your vehicle’s differential is to distribute just the right amount of power to the wheels. When you turn, it will direct less power to the inside of the turn tire, and more to the outside, as it has slightly further to travel.

Signs of problems can include vibration or a rumbling noise; more noticeable the faster the vehicle is moving. Cornering may appear sticky; you might also hear a variety of other noises, including whining, howling, and whirring, when accelerating or slowing down; or even clunking as you begin your journey.

If you are at all anxious about your vehicle’s differential performance, then don’t hesitate to call our transmission repair shop team on 303-806-8200.
